Atlantic Point Backpackers

When you put the minds of 2 young and creative guys together, one an established guest house owner and the other a well travelled backpacker; you get Atlantic Point…a fresh and new approach to the backpacker experience. The project brief were received on 26 March 2010 and the challenge ahead was to complete it before the world cup kicks off, the project was successfully completed on 5 June 2010.

Petra Vonk Design was responsible for designing, sourcing and the Project Management on all the interior components. We designed, manufactured and installed giant custom made wallpapers in 9 rooms. For the lounge area we chose long pole synthetic grass and installed bright colour lockers in all of the dorm rooms. Most of the furniture supplied was a unique once off custom design for the client. The reception area received writable wallpaper, which allowed guests to write comments on the walls.
